Fancy Dress Terms & Conditions

  1. The cost varies from £5 to £100.

  2. VAT is included at the current rate on all Adult costumes.

  3. During our busy periods you may be requested to make an appointment. On average it takes 30 minutes for a customer to make a choice of costume.

  4. Booking your costume in advance is always advisable.

  5. Positive proof of identity, showing current address will be required upon on booking a costume.

  6. Children under the age of 18 may not hire costumes without their parents’ consent.

  7. A deposit will be required upon booking. This will be refunded to you upon the safe return of the costume.

  8. Deposits are not refundable on cancellation or non-collection during peak seasons. Out of this period deposits will be refunded at the Managers discretion.

  9. Extended hire is by arrangement with the management.

  10. We reserve the right to supply a suitable alternative in the event of loss or damage to the required costume. We will however notify to this effect as soon as possible.

  11. To help Companies or large parties to save on staff time and travel, you can leave the selection of costumes to our expert staff, providing we have the correct sizes for your guests. A delivery and collection service is constantly available throughout the year. This is a chargeable facility dependant upon the area in which the service is requested. We can provide members of staff to come to the venue to carry out alterations if required.  This is also a chargeable service and is a special arrangement for Corporate Events.

  12. With all transactions costumes have to be paid for upon collection or before they leave the shop.

  13. You may collect your costume the day before the event but the costume must be returned by the return date (stated on the hire form). Late returns may incur additional charges, to be deducted at the discretion of Balloonatics Party Shop.

  14. Costumes ordered by post have special arrangement with management. The costumes must be returned within three days of the party date.

  15. Only customers who require costumes and have an appointment are allowed into our changing room. This enables us to retain decorum and avoids embarrassment to anyone who may be changing.

  16. All our costumes are freshly laundered.

  17. Our costumes are very much in demand for Christmas and New Year so book early to avoid disappointment.

  18. New character costumes are regularly introduced into our stock.

  19. The hirer agrees that all damages to costumes, however caused will be the sole responsibility of the hirer and will be paid for by the hirer. The amount will be decided at the discretion of Balloonatics Party Shop.

  20. Loss or damage will be deducted from the deposit left by the hirer.

  21. The goods remain the property of Balloonatics Party Shop at all times.

  22. Late returns may incur additional charges, to be decided at the discretion of Balloonatics Party Shop.
